It’s great news that the Association Georges Perec is curating an exhibition about Georges Perec at the National Library of France from 13th October 2026 to 17th February 2027. Postcards for Perec has been invited to show the original postcards at the site of the Library of the Arsenal, where Perec’s archive is kept. I’m delighted that the project has been invited to Paris to such a prestigious and fitting site for its fifteenth exhibition.
An online article about the project is published by UCL Press

The catalogue of the project is still available. It has full colour illustrations of every postcard, a foreword by Philip Terry, editor of The Penguin Book of Oulipo, and essays in English and French by Mireille Ribière which explain Perec’s fascinating structure behind the messages. The book is held in the National Art Library, British Library and Newberry Library, Chicago, USA.
